downloaded a file that had the comment 'all my movies (replace das.mpeg). What does mean? The extension is already'mpeg' and the movie won't play.

maybe try running "gspot" mentioned on vladd's site and see if it is a codec issue - gspot will identify the codecs needed ...

i tried doing a google search for "das.mpeg and got a lot of european and german sites - tried translating them and well came up short ... LOL
Canadian? Sign the petition. Let Ottawa know you want to be considered and that you don't want your rights to be abraded every time the music industry's profits slip a little.

sounds like das has a list of movies. is the file small?? have you tried to open it with notepad ??

this is prolly not much more help but ran "das mpeg" through a translator after looking through many german sites trying to figure out what "das mpeg" ment (should have realized "das boot" - submarines - morgan .... but i digress) ... translated from german it means "the mpeg" sooo .... might want to explore the possiblity of it being a codec issue or something similar ....

OR try viewing with irfanview (free) can get it here
