Maybe its time for a change of player... id go with 1 thats specifically designed for Xvid.... you could try searchin in www.Download.com or maybe www.zdnet.com... thats all i can think of... or.. i guess you could try searchin for some new codecs for Xvid movies..... i dont think.. theres anythin else.....

Take care

lol.... definition of cycling redundancy :P
ok well maybe not defenition... but maybe this can help

http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread/t-42405.html

or

A cyclic redundancy error often means that the CD is bad. try cleaning it with a clean rag and try again. Try it in a different drive to see if it works. If you still have problems... well it sounds like you havent made a clean copy.... personaly i havent tryed burning xvid b4.. seemd kinda complicated... and well as far as i know... you need a special burning program for them.

As for the defenition:

CRC:
Cyclical (cyclic) Redundancy Check - CRC is a mathematical technique used to check for errors when sending data by modem. If the CRC fails to add up, the receiving end of a data transmission sends a NAK (negative acknowledgment) signal. The data will be retransmitted until it is error free. CRC techniques are also used in tape backups and other streaming communications.

CRC is also used for I/O devices on PCs. If you are seeing this error on multiple CDs and your floppy it sounds like maybe you have a problem with your motherboard. Could be the chip that handles device I/o is going bad. You might try checking all of your drive connections and other connections on your motherboard

There you have it :P

Hope this helps....
