Coverting Files

I want to know how to convert asf or wmv files to avi or mpeg.the only program i have now is blaze media but that takes over 11 thousand minutes to convert.if anyone has a good program to convert let me know

though i have never converted wmv to anything, and in fact dont want any wmv on my system, this site has pictures and how-to on doing it. http://www.divx-digest.com/articles/asf ... i_mpg.html

asf is equally bad, however virtualdub version 1.3 will do it well. Just make sure it is 1.3 because that is an old version of the software, as microsoft sued them to stop it's use, and you may not have the old version.
