copying error

i have a avi file saved onto CD that i am trying to copy onto a pc. but part way through the copying an error box pops up sayin, MS-DOS application error. can any one help? thanks.

No idea. Is that ALL it says? Does it give any kind of number or other info as well? If it gives a number, type MS-DOS application error with the number or code that it gives in google and search for it...
