What version of WinMX?
Did you install the Patch?.
What OS?

Cartman: Maybe we should send you to a concentration camp.

fordgt475 what is the sentence u see on the left of yr Ignored button at the top of yr winmx (the Ignored button is the one with the red circle on it?)

U can see what os u use when u click on Start > Control Panel > System : General Tab : what does it say under System?

Alternatively, come to this Vladd44 Help room for help (which u can enter whether u r connected to winmx or not). Just follow the instructions here to enter it : http://www.vladd44.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=6514

os means operating system.
i did not see a guide for a 4200 but here is one for the 5200 the procedure is the same for opening ports http://www.portforward.com/english/rout ... /WinMX.htm
also if u have att or bellsouth and use a westell modem u need to perform the same steps for it either look the model guide up on that page or use 192.168.1.154 to access the modems nat if applicable. if u find yourself unable to open ports or your isp has blocked tthem in the winmx settings click internet connection and on the tcp and udp tabs click unable to receive connections. this bypasses most port functions and will aloow you to connect on some of the most extreme cases.
after forewarding ports for winmx if it connects on primary and the s=0 at the top doesnt change then your ports are still blocked and u either need to go to secondary as above or go to the help room for further assitance
