clone dvd burning problem

Postby Guest on Mon Jan 19, 2004 8:12 pm

I copied a dvd using dvd decrypter, dvd shrink and clone dvd. When i play it on my computer it works fine, but when i try and play it on my dvd player it tells me tha there is no disc. My dvd player in dvd+r/rw compatible. So i figured that maybe it was the brand of the blank disc. I tried burning it again with a different brand and the same results. I'm assuming now that the problem has something to do with clone dvd perhaps. Anybody have any other ideas on what the problem is?
THanks

could be many things, from dvd player to media to method of copy. It sounds most like the css wasnt broken during extract, however there just isnt enough info provided for me to answer.

I use combination of several ways to do it, but it seems that you have used many tools to skin a cat. If you just use slysoft anydvd (decription/region breaker) and slysoft clonedvd you shouldnt need other tools to do a quick trial. I rip mine that way and burn them with nero. Never had a problem and i prefer the cheapest blanks i can find, name means nothing to me. I have never had a problem with my pioneer standalone dvd player or modded xbox, couldnt get them to play in the ps2, but a mod chip may help me....got one on order.
work sucks :pee off

I would guess that the mpeg2 you created (or should have created) is not standard format and this is why your dvd player cannot read it... It must be a specific bitrate, frequency, framerate, etc. in order for your dvd player to be able to decode the file. You can take a look and see if your mpeg 2 is dvd standard here:
