Client not connecting to peers

Postby kerryc5 on Tue Jan 03, 2006 4:59 pm

I have been using ABC for quite a while. I used it at home and at work, and it worked fine with both connections. One day it just stopped connecting to peers. I select the download and the client is stuck in permanent connecting status and never connects to the peers to start downloading. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling ABC, but that didn't work. I tried a new client, and I am still getting the same problem. I am not getting any error messages that I can see. Anyone have any idea how I can fix this? I am living internationally with international tv and I will cry if I can't download my shows from the US. :) Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. Tried BitTornado and the official bittorrent engine (I know, I know... but I was desperate). Have you tried Ares? That isn't working for me, either.

I want my torrents.

Oh man ... I have the same problem. Worked fine for 2 weeks, then stopped all of a sudden.
I think the ISP blocks the ports for Torrents ... Although i kept changing them.
Meh ... eDonkey here i come.
