Cannot Connect No Matter What I Do

I just got internet back on yesterday and reinstalled WinMX from Vladd's site. I also installed the Pie Patch. I have a cable connection. It won't connect at all. I have copied/pasted the room name and it will not allow me to join. I have yahoo/AIM messengers if anyone can help me. Please, I really would like to get back on WinMX. Thank you!

do you have a router or a modem? what isp are you with. do you have a firewall installed???
