Winavi will convert .avi to dvd format (.vob .bup and .ifo) which u can then burn with nero. DVD Santa is another that works.

Just to be a bit more specific, you CAN burn it, but only as a data file if you don't convert it to dvd format first. So if you burn it as data (ISO) you can watch it without converting it if you have an avi-compatible stand-alone dvd player. If not you have to convert it to dvd format first.

You can find more info here as well:

Hi elizabeth.

i need help, with transporting a dvd picture disc onto my hard drive?

What happens when you try to open (explore) the dvd in your computer. Also what type of picture disc is it, how was it created?

And what are they stored on?
Jewish Kid: Is anyone else having problems concentrating on this? I just can't seem to concentrate.
Cartman: Maybe we should send you to a concentration camp.
