Ok, I just now downloaded the FMA movie in DVD format. Meaning like all of the menus and stuff. Now, I'm trying to burn this to a DVD to watch on DVD players and stuff. How do I do that?? I've thought of everything but some I wouldn't have like the subtitles and others I just be putting it as a file on DVD. So please help me!
Well whether you would have the subtitles and everything like that or not depends on whether they come with the file that you got or not. If you received a file that is really dvd format (a collection of vobs, bups and ifos) you need to burn it to a dvd AS a dvd, if by "just be putting it as a file on DVD" means you want a compressed version of it, like an avi, you would need to burn it as a dvd, then encode the dvd to avi format.
Assuming the "dvd format" is really already a dvd format with the proper VOBs, BUPs and IFOs (as opposed to an image of a dvd which would most likely be a bin and a cue file), then you should simply burn it to a dvd disk with whatever it has if you want to make your life simpler, instead of trying to get rid of subtitles or anything else you don't want. Here's how to do it in Nero, but it should be more or less the same with any burning app:

All I have to offer, in addition to all that, is if I read you right, and you want to burn the compilation of VOBs, BUPs and IFOs to a DVD disc that will play in most home DVD players, 1: Is it a DVD5 or DVD9? Meaning, is it less then 4.37 GB, or more? If less, grab a 4.7 GB DVD disc, and Use the nero guide Dap offered the link too. However, if it is over 4.7 GB in total size, 2 choices, 1: If your DVD burner is a dual layer burner, get a dual layer disc, and again, use nero as above. 2: If it is not a dual layer burner, and you still want to do this, There are several programs that can 'shrink' your DVD files to fit on yer disc, DVD Shrink, found here: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/dv ... 1-main.htm Clone DVD, found here: http://www.slysoft.com/en/ (DVD Shrink is free, Clone DVD is not) There are a lot of programs out there besides these, however these are 2 of the more popular, and easy to use. Good luck, hope all works out for you.
Last sec. thought: DVD Shrink does have a nice option, in that when it is done encoding your files, it will automatically use nero to burn, if the "enable burning with nero" box is checked. Clone DVD has it's own internal program to write your disc.
If anyone can think of anything I missed, or may have over looked, please post!
