bad video

bad video

so ive downloaded a bit torrent video but its not so cool as those what ive dl from imesh or kazaa or irc. the graphics would sumhow stop but still d audio is moving and there are blocks appearing in d movie disrupting d video. i tried downloading another video usinig bit torrent but its like d first....is it me or was it juz d video?

oh btw, ive put on d latest nimo codec but d video still freezes on d very same spot. so is it d file itself?

It could be the file, but I'd bet that it's one of the codecs in Nimo -- namely the ffdshow file. Look in the video help section and read the section on Files playing with green screen or with errors.

Since you are getting problems with other video as well I would think that you have an older version of a codec that is needed like xvid, or what mjolnir said below. As far as the freezing on the same spot, the file could have bad frames or the indexing could be corrupt. Make sure you have the lastest version of the codecs necessary, if that doesn't take care of the problem, check the file with divfix to see if there is an indexing problem. If that doesn't help, you can check for bad frames with VirtualDub. Both of these apps can be gotten at http://www.rita.LT, and I would suggest reading the first two questions in the FAQ section of that site to learn more about codecs.

THat could be, yes mjolnir, the only problem is you forgot to mention what site you were referring to...lol... The question on green screens, freezing and ffdshow is also on the site mentioned above, in the FAQ section.
