avi video file, the audio is ahead by a second

Postby raymer on Thu Jul 06, 2006 7:01 am

i downloaded stargate sg-1 and saved them in a disc. an episode is only 80mb. so i was able to squeeze 8 episodes per cd. The file is in avi format. My dvd player can play avi file and thats where i view the show. There are episodes where the audio is in sync with the video. But some episodes, the audio gets ahead the video. So its like those chinese kung-fu movies with lousy dubbing. But when i view the cd using a pc, audio and video are in sync. Can anyone shed light on what is going on here? My dvd player is a xenon by the way.

It's simple, the people who captured the eps from tv or encoded them from dvd either don't have the know-how to do it well or don't have the hardware to do it well. You'll either have to get another version or try and fix it yourself:
