avi files not recognised

avi files not recognised

i have 2 avi files which i cannot open. i have tried wmp and divx. divx says it is not a avi/moeg file. gspot says it is a (RIFF/CDXA --> MPEG (.MPG/.MPEG/.VOB) anyone know what this means?

Means the extension should be .mpg - try changing it and see. If your O/S doesn't show extensions in any explorer folder pull down Tools > Folder Options > View Tab > uncheck "Hide extensions" then just rename .avi to .mpg :smart:
