audio help im a newbie

hi there
i am totally new to bit torrent
i have a mca g4 and i have been downloading music
while i wait for it to be done,
how do i launch a flac file?
ive been downladong a daivid bowie concert and need help

dont even know where to start.

whats the torrent file? so i can ses what kind of file it is. never heard of a flac file, most file extensions are 3 digits.
Jewish Kid: Is anyone else having problems concentrating on this? I just can't seem to concentrate.

FLAC is a lossless compression algorythm. Whilst I'm not aware of a specific audio player that can play flac files, I'm sure there are some out there that can (or you can get plugins for them).. You'll just have to hunt. In the meantime, you can use the flac utility flac drop (I use it and it couldn't be simpler) for converting your flac file to a wav and vice versa. You will need the flac codec available HERE and then you can get flac drop HERE

Incidentally, there may be some way to make your audio player play flac files using the codec - I've never tried it personally, flac is primarily for archival purposes.

I think Foobar 2000 supports FLAC, and you should be able to find a plug-in for FLAC support for Winamp on their own site.
