Why wont anything conect on my comp i had ares and it was the best^.^. But now i got f**k up>.< and now i Limewire and it dont work as well>.< But get limewire pro it tha best hehe well bye ppl hope your life is good:P:P:P

thats happened i think twice
i really struggled on what to do, but then it came to me; maybe i messed up and did something stupid, so i went to the ares website and re-installed. It worked like a charm but also astounded me to find all my previous downloads to be there. Just goes to show ares has it down better then any other P2Ps. Has the plain and simple web browser, organised library, built in screen unlike limewire, a massive amount of search options and quite transfers. I think ares is leading the pack towards the untimate P2P

Does Ares have to re-hash everything every time I install a new build? I share over 2000 files and it takes a long time to rehash all of them. =/

ok i've been having the smae problem! i just downloaded this because i was really looking forward to actually making my mix cds i have written down.. but to my luck it wont search any songs!!!! it says searching but just stays at that, i've tried every thing every one has said to do but i still have the wrong prob! i just wanna downlaod my songs!!!

Ares connects for me, (I have version 1.8.1 build 2967. my problem is that when I try to download, the files will say their connecting, but they never do, I've had the same ones "downloading" for over a week, and not one has made any progress, any suggestions?

okayy soo my ares was workiing abosolutely fine ; i could dowload music & transfer then all of a sudden iit just says connectiing & iit wouldnt connect . I dont know what to do but ii need it to work so can u help me please?

This is -Jynx- here and this is not an answer to the ares problem but only and explination to why it's doing what your explaining to the viewers. If you are running off of a cable company, they do not allow p2p file sharing programs to access the internet. Pretty gay if you ask me, it is supposed to cut down on supernodes being created for p2p programs and so speed isn't taken away from your neighbours. I've been searching for answers myself and have found nothing but dead ends, I did try the ares version 1.0.4 and it worked for a while but then the cable company blocked it. There is nothing much you can do if i find anything I will post it on as many forums as possible, I love breaking the rules so if they are there to be broken I will find a way. One large alternitave would be to change your internet provider to adsl/dsl they allow p2p file sharing.

To all the noobs out there "I PWN NOOBS" but I also help them cuz i was once a NOOB but now I'm 1337 and I feel I need to make NOOBS 1337, cuz there is to many NOOBS out there. GAWD

i was downloading fine on ares, the it just went off on me & now it wont connect, has ares closed down like winmx did (No Warning). if so is there a patch 4 it, thanx:bang2

run spybot search and destory. download it free if you haven't got it. worked for me.

just found this site and its nice to know that im not the only 1 ares has messed up on. was over the moon for months with it but now for some reason it just wont connect!? oh well!

Same problem here, I'm on a cable connection.... updated to 1.8.6, and given 2 minutes it connected, myne was working fine 2 weeks ago.... maybe they do sumthing like yahoo.... older versions cant connect to the servers or something.... and as for whoever said cable companies dont let you allow to connect to P2P's Heres a big finger... I use bittorrent, Ares, Winmx (Before and after the shutdown) Kazaa, Soulseek and many others and not one of them have i been blocked using, the ISP's block the most common used ports for p2p programs(Such as 6881-6188 for Bit Torrent and so on...), which is why all p2p programs now have options to change the ports.... DUH!!

ISP's cant totally stop you from illegally downloading cos i mean lets face it... if i could only use MSN on the internet without downloading music films and games for FREE... I wouldnt bother with the net and im sure there are lots more people who would do the same!
