actually it comes with NavBar and it is an optional installation (at the beginning when you run the Ares installer) it'll have the NavBar option just uncheck the box beside it and no spyware is installed ;)

There is another variety of Ares client called Warez

http://www.warez.com/

Heres the interesting stuff

Warez P2P is the adware version of Ares (Ares does have adware, however there is no forced installation.) It is basically the same client as Ares, however it does install a data miner on your computer (you can opt out of the other goodies.) Although it does contain adware, it is a clever campaign to further advertise the network. This technique is not new of course, as FastTrack and the Manolito P2P network have both had various levels of success implementing this idea. The Ares/Warez P2P network has demonstrated the most success out of the three, as its population has exploded since its introduction

can i just ask... what sort of moron would go "oh look, a spyware version and a non-spyware version of the same program, i'll pick the spyware one"? lol

Warez P2P, and Filecroc Connect to the ares galaxy network, as ive been told, the maker of ares sold the code to 2 buddies, 1 made Warez, the other made Filecroc.

Ares has the option to Not install the Navbar, as does Warez, Filecroc is the only one with Forced installation, easily removed in add remove programs, and a quick Ad-Aware Scan.

Ares has been having a few issues of late, and the network has been very unstable, After 1 year hosting on the network, ill have to say its grown very well.

If youd like to try it out, or stop in and say Hi, my room is Pirates Paradise, or copy this link into the ares hashlink, and click download

arlnk://F5fPxdTq8eJeuqSVejGmqzZgesrI8sF ... 7be9puOQ==

Once ares is installed, it will take you directly to my room.

cant get a chat room listing on MX anymore, so i havent seen you all in awhile, hope this finds you all well.
