Another Religionist f**k Family

Postby Vladd44 on Wed May 20, 2009 9:51 am

Daniel Hauser was diagnosed in January 2009 with stage IIB nodular sclerosing Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His parents religion advocates natural and homeopathic healing over conventional medical treatment.

Doctors want the 13-year-old kid to undergo chemotherapy and radiation. The disease has a 90% rate of remission when treated with radiation and chemotherapy. On the other hand is odds are 95% against him making it the next 5 years without treatment.

Last week, the judge ruled the Hauser's must select an oncologist and receive a court mandated chest X-rays to determine the extent of his cancer.

An affidavit was filed for David claiming that he is a medicine man and church elder in the Nemenhah, which is an American Indian religious organization that his parents claimed to have joined 18 years ago, however they are not Native Americans. (BTW, this could be a good money making concept, the founder charges $250 to become a member)

The family is also are Roman Catholic, which may explain why they were foolish enough to have eight children.

Nemenhah was founded by Philip Cloudpiler Landis, who has served four months in prison in Idaho for fraud related to advocating natural remedies.

Daniel Hauser in Affidavit wrote:I am opposed to chemotherapy because it is self-destructive and poisonous, I want to live a virtuous life, in the eyes of my creator, not just a long life.

Daniel Hauser in Affidavit wrote:I am a medicine man. Some times we teach, and some times we perform. Now, I am doing both. I will lead by example.

To make matters even more interesting is Daniel is he is illiterate. According to court documents, during testing by a teacher for entrance into a charter school, Daniel could not identify the word "the." Up until this point he had been "home schooled".

There is also conflicting reports as to whether there are specific learning disabilities or just a matter of his home schooling being more of a no school.

Daniel Hauser wrote:I’d fight it if I had to take it again, I’d punch them and I’d kick them.

Tuesday, the boy and his mother were missing skipping the scheduled chest X-ray appointment. The judge issued a warrant has been issued for the mother's arrest. It seems they bailed out under the urging of Susan Daya a lawyer and adviser who seems to have some dubious role outside of the courts in this drama.

The Judge has ruled that due to the contempt, that Daniel be turned over to Brown County authorities and be placed in foster care.

Cartman: Maybe we should send you to a concentration camp.

Im sure there is a perfectly resonable excuse for this behavior, there is no need to treat the condition medically when a few hours on the knees praying to the sky will rectify the situation.

This shit makes me sick. :bang

Homeopathy is based on the idea that the more you dilute something, the more potent it becomes, and they dilute things till there is nothing left but water, and they think that water somehow "remembers" wtf was in it, and somehow that can heal you.

Now if the logic of diluting something makes it stronger is true, then the more you water down your coffee, the more wide awake it should make you, right? Then the strongest cup of coffee in the world is a cup of plain water.

If water really has a memory, then since all water has come in contact with just about everything on this damn planet at some point, just your tap water should be the most powerful medicine there is, remembering the cure to everything.

This f**k up logic of theirs is based on some "medicine" from the days when mainstream medicine was likely to kill you. I mean if you have the flu, which is more likely to "cure" you: water or blood-letting?

Because blood-letting usually killed the patient, and water allowed them to live, thereby giving them a chance to heal on their own, the small minds of the era thought the water somehow was the actual cure and not the body's own immune system.

There is no religion involved in this...just pseudoscience and bad logic.

got to bite here, april. great spoof on homeopathy but i have seen it work. if you haven't actually tried it in a controlled situation your impressions will be good humor, but not accurate.

i personally have only had homeopathy work for me once. the mass produced stuff seems to not work for me, but a friend in northern minnesota made a tincture/dosage/wtf of mosquitoes, and when i used it the mosquitoes didn't itch a damn bit. for northern minnesota in the summer, that is like the third coming of christ.

back when i had about 10,000 articles and 300 books on alternative therapies (until about ten years ago when i moved from minn and left them with the co-op there) the success rate for childhood brain cancers was way way worse than that just quoted above for chemo and radiation. it is true that radiation has improved incrementally as they tighten the beams, and that is good, since radiation kills about 60 times more healthy cells than it does the cancer cells. it is also highly carcinogenic. (as is every single pharmaceutical chemotherapeutic agent). one of the worst things a woman can do to prevent cancer is a mammogram. there are forms of thermal imaging which are much more conclusive and accurate than the mammogram. as for radiation and breast cancer, note that the breast cancer rate in the u.s. was declining after world war II until the first three nuclear power plants went online. the breast cancer rate went up 75% within a 150 mile radius of each of these nuclear power plants, and basically only there.

now for the kids. assume your child was perhaps given a head lice medication (studies sponsored by the state of missouri proved they increased the risk of brain cancer in children who take these meds by 40%). double blind studies prove that thyme oil (yes the herb) is at least as effective as the pharmaceuticals without any known negative side effects. except having their peers shove them into the salad shooter.

so pretend your kid gets the brain cancer. the state mandates chemotherapy (so much for freedom) but it is only about 50% effective in getting the cancer in remission, plus you feel like crap. so when the cancer occurs in many of the children you have to let them die. if you live in michigan like one couple who wanted to use dr. leo burzinski's "anti-neo plaston therapy" which has a better than 60% survival rate even for those who have taken radiation or chemotherapies (which are harder to treat than non-burned and non-poisoned patients) they were denied. in order to use this therapy the fda requires the patient to be a citizen of the state of texas. so they moved from michigan after the chemo failed to do anything other than make their son miserable and sicker, and watched him die while waiting to become texans.

dr. burzinski on the other hand has to watch many children die in the same situation since his treatment of anyone not approved by the fda will result in his losing his license to practice medicine. unfair? illogical? of course! it is by the fda which is the lapdog of the pharmaceutical industry. and everyone knows profits trump humanity.

now as for the homeschooling, i was an area representative for the state of west virginia and i can tell you that in the homeschooling magazines of the time (late 80's) universities took out quarter page ads trying to get homeschooled children to come to their institutions. they stated that they seldom had to require remedial english or mathematics on homeschooled students. the homeschooled student tended to be more independent and mature for their age, their work habits were better on average, and the universities that wanted home schoolers were big names like west point, boston college, notre dame, etc.

obviously these parents were doing something wrong if the reports are actually true, but on the other hand i've seen students in private and public schools who may or may not have been dyslexic with the difficulties described. pass them up and out of my hair is a trait for teachers when dealing with difficult students. i've seen people who would be so nervous they couldn't read or even talk around strangers, so what was the situation here. where was the kid tested or was this a simple observation made with a young person under distress. with a brain cancer, don't forget. the corporations have to stop independent treatment and make people who espouse alternatives as fools, charlatans, and dangerous. in other words, the non-medical issues may have been distortions of truth or outright lies to brand the parents and their choice as emotionally unpalatable.

remember 60% of what is passed off as news is in actuality written and sometimes performed/filmed by public relations firms to pass corporate propaganda as being truth. maybe with a capital T.

Do not confuse homeopathy with natural medicine.

Making a tea from some herbs that have known, scientifically proven medicinal properties isn't the same as homeopathy.

What I explained earlier is exactly what homeopathy is. it's water.

If it works, it's due to a placebo effect. It's not the "medicine" that is curing the patient...it's the patient's own mind.
