ALBW is not ALBW? Is there another Albumwrap format?

Postby tristeza on Tue Mar 22, 2005 5:45 pm

hi there,

i download some large musicfiles name ....ALBW... this means, the file is created with Album Wrapper. So but i cannot open the wrap file with Album Wrap Extractor. It says "it is not an wrap Album"

So is there another Albumwrapper/Extractor Format out there and what is the Name for?

Or are there only some stupids out there, naming some mp3 files only as "ALBW" but it is not ALBW.

Because i have problems with splitting Large Album-Files with Cuesheet... that is crap. Only Album-Wrap is the best Resolution to Share Complete Wrapped Albums.

Greetings, tristeza

Please check out your files and when you have files with ALBW or WRAP in name but you cannot open these files with Album Wrap Extractor, so please rename the files and delete the ALBW / WRAP from filename, thx.

Anyone can add ALBW to a file name.. so it doesn't necessarily mean it was compiled with albumwrap. it could just be a single full album fila, a zip of all tracks, ir something else.

Thanks for the link! I had an album wrap file that kept giving me files that consisted of the beginning of the recording (track 1) on each track, just cut to the length of the track it was supposed to be and with the tag of the track it was supposed to be. I found this thread while searching Google for a solution and when I tried Alba Extractor it extracted each file correctly. This program really works!

A very common error with AlbumWrap. Whenever I get one of those (and I get a lot) I simply extract with AlbaExtractor (as you did), verify each track (including id3 tag) and then re-wrap album using AlbumWrap for sharing. 8)

It's ok Cali_Carolina,

We will not call out the ALBW police.

Welcome to the forum.
